Why I Develop Software as an E-Commerce Specialist
Off-the-shelf systems address general needs, but each company has its own product structure, warehouse setup, reporting practices and validation rules. Teams often lose time moving Excel files between systems, checking the same information repeatedly or reviewing hundreds of rows manually.
My direct operational experience means I start with the real business need. Before writing code, I clarify which file the user receives, which column they inspect, how they identify errors and what they do with the result. This helps avoid unnecessary features and produces usable tools.
Processes That Can Be Automated
Examples include monitoring critical stock changes, calculating inter-warehouse transfer needs, tracking marketplace order cancellations, comparing shipping invoices with agreed rates, checking product barcodes and volumetric weight, preparing recurring reports and tracking status across departments.
Not every process needs automation. A simple checklist may be better for infrequent tasks, frequently changing rules or decisions that require human judgement. I use automation where it improves time, accuracy and traceability.
Types of Solutions I Develop
I build desktop tools that process Excel or API data using Python, PyQt5 and Pandas; local-network web tools using Flask, SQLite, HTML, CSS and JavaScript; additional validation layers for existing web panels using Tampermonkey; and notification systems that monitor REST API, XML and JSON data.
Solutions can include upload screens, filters, role-based actions, exports, desktop notifications, audit histories and basic reports. I keep the technical setup as simple as the team’s computers and permissions allow.
How an Automation Project Works
I first document the existing steps and exceptions: where data comes from, what the user checks, when they act and where the result is saved. Rules are then verified against sample files and real scenarios.
The first version addresses the core need and is tested with users. Exceptions discovered in real use are added in a controlled way. This creates a solution that delivers value early and grows with the need, rather than a large project taking months to deliver.
Business Value
Good automation does more than save time. It standardises checks, reduces reliance on individual knowledge, makes past actions traceable and can warn before errors occur. Teams can focus on exceptions and decisions rather than routine checking.
If you have a repetitive e-commerce task, a manually checked Excel process or a workflow that gets lost between systems, I can analyse the need and develop a project-based solution.
